in an inscription at Godmanchester, Cambridge, England.
AbellioTree god. Romano-Celtic (Gallic). Known from inscriptions in the Garrone
valley of southwestern France, and thought to be associated with apple trees.
AbeonaGoddess of passage. Roman. Linked with the goddess Adeona, she is concerned
with the safe going-out and coming-in of a child.
Abgal1. Desert god. Pre-Islamic, northern Arabian. Known from the Palmyrian desert
regions as a tutelary god of Bedouins and camel drivers.
2. Minor attendant spirits. Mesopotamian (Sumerian). Associated with Enki and
residing in the Abzu or primeval water.
